Welcome 2011!

It is day 18 in 2011. Not to late to wish a very happy new year kan?hhehe. I was in bed during new years eve, hibernate myself for my Auckland flight on next day very morning. :) . Oh, I am already an operating crew now! hehe.

Wah...it's been like 4 months i didn't update my blog! I admit that i've been busy for past few months. Training, flight, study and more! Yea, yea, I know that you are eager to know what are the new environment that i went through rite now aite *cough*. What to update eh? Oh ya, bout the new life and new job of course. ngee~
SINGAPORE. Here I am. Yea, SG is quite a good place to stay. They have good public transportation system (but of course not perfect), lots of food and lots of shopping mall but, few sightseeing places to go since their size is too small but i bet a lot of activity can be done here. :D. Come, visit Singapore now! (promote negara orang la plak. haha). Erm, one more, sometimes when go to buy from a stall, they will speak chinese with you. Dun be perasan that u have that chinese look but, it was them, who can't speak english because they are from Mainland China. :)So far, I've been to few parts of SG such as Sentosa Island, erm, airport, errr.....woodlands, orchard, bugis, arab street...errr....that's all. Seems like i haven't enjoy the island yet! haha. I always go back to Malaysia. Hehehe. Oke, enuff of SG.*TITIK*
TRAINING. oh yea! Sooooooooo penat oke the training. Quite tough but sometimes it was fun. :) . We pledge n sing the company song every morning. eh, it is for real ? yea, u read it right! EVERY MORNING! huargh...sometimes the song will linger on my mind when i do my shopping, on the bus or even during bath. Pathetic? No, I love my company. Mwah! And i was officially finish my training on 29th Dec 2010. The last batch that graduate in year 2010. :D

All the best to all my batchmates. Together we SOAR!
FLYING. I enjoyed every minute of it! There are thousands of reason why people chose to fly even though they have first class degree or even they studied overseas before. This job has a huge magnetic power! I must admit that flight attendant is the most amazing job! Just imagine, u will be like, holiday throughout the year and most importantly, it's free and paid for! :D

But, people always throw negative impression towards air stewardess (loves by boyfriend but not his mum.haha). Well, from my point of view, it really depends on a person. We were given brain to think, heart to felt and combination of both to make decision. So, if we know how to differentiate between good and bad, we might not go astray. Who agree with me? Eye brow up please. hehe.

Anyway, i think it's enuff for now kot. I have flight tomorrow to Denpasar ( Bali ) but sadly, it's not a nightstop. Just turn around. T.T
Enjoy these few picture of mine while I was in Auckland (it was my first solo!).

My Lucky Day ( Part II ) ---- Thank You Singapore Airlines!

I know, i promised to tell the story on Monday but something came up so, i just can't tell u what's the luckiest thing happened to me last Saturday. =) . So today I'm very determine to finish up the story. hehehe.

Oke, first, i would like to slap my self (again) because i really can't believe that it's happening to me. hahaha.

Ever heard of Singapore Girls?? How beautiful and elegant they are?? I believe they are the most identifiable  air hostess. Well, well, i'll join them soon! yehaa! but before i can join them, 2 things should be oke. *please pray that everything will be oke*
1. My medical check up
2. My S pass (a pass to work in Singapore)

Looking great, isn't she?

How was the lucky day start?? Anyway, it is my dream to become a air stewardess one day. I've tried for MAS; twice got into final round but the result still "ur application was unsuccessful". I was like going to gave up the job oredi but then suddenly a friend encourage me to have a try in Singapore Airline's interview which will be held on 21st August. I was at 1st hesitate to go but then, syafeeq told me that "why not give it a try. Maybe it's ur rezeki..." . So, with full of spirit n encouragement from people around me, i finally arrived at Park Royal Hotel at 845am. Honestly, i didnt expect this would be a place that will witness a dream that come true. :D

Should i tell the details on how the interview process was?? I should? are u serious? oke2, i will..hehe.

1st round: It was 2 to 10 interview. Oh, ofkos its 2 panels and 10 candidates. I'm dead la if it was vice versa. hhohoho. They asked us to tell a simple thing about ourselves and tell them A NEW DESTINATION that SIA should fly to and why. Note that NEW word. There are some candidates gave a destination already in SIA destination. Doesn't they understand  the question? Hm...i think maybe that's the reason why are they not selected. So, only 5 (if i'm not mistaken) was selected to next round.

2nd round: Documents, height and weight check. I passed it all! height to be:158cm. Then, i was called for skin check. They check my forehead, skin, hands and the way i walk. I just chin up, and walk. Rite after skin check, they will still eliminate people. In this round, they didn't check my leg. The lady asked me whether i have any visible tattoos. So, girls and guys, dun u ever dare to tag a tattoo on ur skin if u wanna be an air stewardess/steward. =)

3rd round: Game round. In group of 8, we were split into 2groups. The game  we played was "memory game". There are about 24 UNO cards place on the table. And we have to flip that card, find 4 match. The 1st group got 4 pairs, win. I dunno what's the purpose but i think there'll be mark given during this round and wanted to see how well we can work in group. hmp..anyway, my group lost in the game. hahaha! blame that girl who flip the cards slowly. ;p

4rd round: 1 to 1 interview. It's only a simple interview asking a lil bit about myself and asked me to read a passage. Oh no, 2 passages actually. Then, the panel asked me to solve a situation based on the passages that i've read. Only a simple situation. The purpose maybe; to see how strong ur teamwork is and u deal with passengers on board. My situation was; a lady wanted to use the lavatory but it's dirty. By that time, u're going to serve drinks to passenger. How would u solve the situation? ----tips: try to have as much team spirit inside u, and u'll find that this situation is really simple. =)

5th round: Kebaya fitting. Yeay! this is the most interesting part. Love it. I"ve made a few friends during the interview. We tried the kebaya together and took our picture in that kebaya. hehehe.During this session, we were given 5min to fit into SIA's uniform and back to her. She checked my forehead, hands (until elbow), my back (to see any visible scars or tattoos), and my both leg until knee. I dunno whether there will still have elimination during this session since none in my group fail. =) . Believe me, it's very exciting to fit in that Singapore Girls' Kebaya. ehehehe. ;)

6th round: The FINAL round. We were grouped into 4. Inside there, just a simple question and a session like debate. My group, we have topic : which one is better; health or money?  We were split into two. Me n Kitt (she's a new friend that went into all round together with me) have to give out points on money. There was some passage reading too. The final interview with management flow goes like this:

1. Introduce your friend who sit next to you (so, loose ur mouth to chit chat with the rest of ur group while waiting to be call into the room). Luckily, i was with Kit which I knew her from the very 1st round.
2. Debate
3. Reading a passage.

After 10 - 15 minutes, we finished the final round and wait outside for the result.
After 5minutes waiting,SIA's representative standing in front of us with papers in his hand.
" I will call the unsuccessful candidate only...Mr A, sorry, but u r not selected. Three of you, congratulation! U may wait inside for the briefing on bond and employment". As soon as i hear the CONGRATULATION word, i was like "oh my! I got in!". My heart bumping and my feet was not step on the ground anymore! I love u Singapore Airlines. They inform me on the same day and the best part is, they finished up the interview just in a day. Call it my terrifically LUCKY day!

A tips for those u wanna try out next time: Put ur smile all the way even when u read the passage. ;)
 yeay!
*picture from google*

I was then, step into a room where, the bonding briefing held and filling up necessary form. All things finished at 430pm. I stepped out from Royal Park with my big smile. ^^

I was asked to start my duty on 28th September 2010 and will depart from KL to SG on 21st September 2010. Well, honestly, I'm kinda worried to start a new life in SG. I have nobody there.huhu. My  family wont be there...my syafeeq too...if i fall sick, who will take care of me. If i have problems, who may lend a shoulder for me to cry on. Huhuhuhu~~

Anyone can gimme a tips on how to start a new life there. Pls help me...

BTW, thanks to everybody who support me...mwah!

p/s: sayang, i know u want me to go. I know, u know how bad i want this job but i just couldn't bear to be apart from u... T___T

My Dream Job : MAS Cabin Crew

Everybody has their own dream job aite?So do I. Tp mase kecik2 dlu, banyak gile dream job. When people asked to wrote in their books; something like personal details, i list byk gile! Buku ni cam fancy2 gile, we have to wrote favorite food (cliche answer :masakan ibu. :p), favourite drinks etc. I believe, you all did this too aite? tipu kalau cakap xpenah uat. So, i did and i wrote on the ambition is STEWARDESS. Yes! Stewardess. Byk lagi kot I tulis. Doktor la, saintis, arkitek (well, I am a landscape architect, ade gak la tercapai cita2.hehe) tp mmg i betul2 wanted to be is STEWARDESS.

My dream Job

So, as to achieve my dream job, i da attend 4 times interviews. 3x with Malaysia Airlines and 1x with SIA. . SIA is quite strict in recruiting their Cabin Crew/Flight Attendant/Stewardess (what so-ever people call). I dunno exactly how many stages that we have to go thru (since i didn't pass at 1st stage :p). What do i know is, they will call u in a group of 10 , and asked simple question, i.e. tell me about urself, tell me ur dream destination and why (i've got this question) or maybe what's ur favourite movie. If u pass this stage (normally they will choose 2 or 1 out of 10), then u'll have to go for kebaya fitting which then they will checked the skin which not being cover by the uniform. I dunno what are the stages next. Huhu. All the best for those who wanna try 4 SIA. **They pay us quite high (approximately S$ 3500 )**. Sounds awesome aite?haha.S$ 3.5k X RM 2.4 = (tekan calculator now!)

I wanna be in this uniform please~

Ok2, stop the SIA interview thing. Here's my story on the third cabin crew interview I attended which was held on 20th March 2010.

1st Day:
I arrived at Malaysia Airlines Academy at 7.50am. There was a long ques to take the "permission to enter slip". Then I walk to the main lobby. There were many beautiful girls has waited outside since the academy is not yet open. As the guard asked us to make a line after 15 minutes of waiting, these beautiful girls were run towards the entrance (wah!ilang ayu kau nyah.haha). Tp i just walk fast (xlari oke. I maintain ayu gitu). And i've got the que number. My turn is 88. Wow! What a great number (hopefully a lucky number too) ! I've made some friends while waiting for the staff to call up my number. I waited around half an hour before they call my number (mcm dlm penjara kan?huhhu). They measure my height (at least 157cm.well, i got no prob with this, so no worry (=). Then i've to go to registration counter which they will check my result. SPM is essential. I repeat, SPM is essential. Please bring along ur original SPM cert or they will reject u on the spot. And please check ur result too la eh. If u tgk in ur cert tu, Math, English or Malay x pass, dun waste ur time. Even u merayu pon, they all will not allow u to  go to the next stage.  I think because it's open interview, so they just will booted out anyone who aren't qualify. But, if u really wanna give a try, no harm la babe. Well, if there's a will, there'll be a way. (=
After checked my results, they assisted me to the auditorium, fill up the form and few minutes after i submitted my form, they call my name with five other beautiful girls . We are going to be interviewed by 2 panels and there will be 1 observer. **Nervous** . Owh, hey,pls put ur smile all the way.

smile ya babe (=

They asked very simple question, i.e. introduce urself (and they interrupt during this) and few other question which based to what i've told them.  I passed this preliminary interview. Yeay! (alhamdulillah) and i have to go for grooming. I waited for almost 1 hour to get my teeth, my face, my leg (up to knee) and my hands (up to elbow) checked . Points was given in this stage. Oh, forgot to mention, they asked me to do some catwalk. Yes, catwalk (tp u all jgn ngade2 sgt jln tu. Relax je la and smile ). So, finished my 1st day. I was given a slip asked me to come for 2nd day interview. What a big hooray i wanna give to myself. =D

2nd Day;
My session was at 9am. I arrived at the academy at 830am. And again, i they assisted me to the auditorium  and waited for my name to be called after gave them the interview slip. There were 3 panels and 1 observer. Actually, in this stage, it's more towards interactive session. They wanted to see how u speak i think. And , thank Allah because i passed this stage too. Yippie!!! I have to come for next day interview. Phew! tired, tired...!

3rd Day:
Well, on the third day, the interview was held at MAS admin building which situated near skypark. I arrived around 830 but my session was at 930. I was soooooooooooooo nervous. The interview went well. They asked simple question and asked why we should hire u. I wasn't prepared myself very well since i was very tired after 2 days of interview. They told me that they will inform me the result of the interview in two weeks. **pray**

RESULT!!
I received the email from MAS HR a week later which was last Monday. They inform that my application was unsuccessful. =( There u go my dream...

  whoah...i failed....

I was very frustrated but I will never give up. I will give it a try next time. Hopefully they they will open the interview very soon. ^^ .Whoever in the same boat as mine, wish u all the best for next try. To my friends, ain, crystal and wenny, all the best in ur training oke. (=

Thanks soooooooooooooo much to my Syafeeq because he's so patiently wait 4 me outside the Malaysia Airlines Academy. Thanks my dear...(=

 Thanks 4 being there sayang~
